About Interview Simulator
Interview Simulator is a free satirical browser game about the most absurd job hunt of your life: one position, 4,812 applicants and six merciless rounds of interviews.
The idea
Everyone has a story about a hiring process that made no sense: the personality test that punishes every answer, the "quick" take-home that eats a weekend, the culture pitch that calls the team a family. We turned those stories into a game.
The core joke is that it is nearly impossible to get hired. And if you somehow manage it, the company has a plan for that too.
What makes it different
Hidden stats
Humanity, zeal, competence, manager threat and more are tracked behind the scenes. Every answer nudges them, and the company judges you on all of them at once.
Three candidates
The Fresh Grad, the Almost-Lead and the Legacy System each face a different structural problem and a unique mechanic.
Your choices remembered
Flattering Derek, cutting corners on the case study or conceding on salary can all come back to haunt you rounds later.
You can walk away
Sometimes the best move is to decline. Walking away is a real ending, not a failure state.
Built for replaying
Every run ends in a report, and every ending is recorded in your candidate file along with a dossier of intel on the people interviewing you. There are many endings to discover, and most of them are rejections.
Made for the web
Interview Simulator runs in your browser on desktop and mobile. There is nothing to install and no account to create. Your progress is saved locally in your own browser.
Who made it
Interview Simulator is created by Gabriella Ferreira.
